The fifth-oldest house in the roll
Nineteen twenty-eight puts this among the five oldest parcels anywhere in the 1,044-parcel roll. It is a 3,156 sq ft house — unremarkable by the standards of the 1990s builds either side of it — carrying $558 a foot, which is two-thirds of what the 1935 house at 727 achieves on half the area.
Two pre-war houses a few hundred feet apart, twelve years and $845 a foot between them. The street does not price age; it prices whatever else the county is measuring.
Reading the Wauseon Bay frontage
Wauseon Bay opens off Lake Butler on the Town of Windermere side, so an address here is on the Butler Chain without sitting on the main basin. This parcel is screened as lakefront because its boundary reaches a mapped water polygon — a mapping result, not a shoreline survey.
Bay frontage, canal frontage and lake frontage are three different things to a buyer, and a GIS screen does not settle which one a deck faces. The recorded plat and the deed describe the lot; the permitting authority describes what may be built on the water.
What this page is not
- It is not a listing. Nothing here says the property is for sale.
- It is not a historic designation. No register listing is implied by a 1928 year built.
- It is not an appraisal. Just value is the county's figure for its own tax year.
Windermere adds municipal review
Inside the Town of Windermere, exterior work and tree removal run through the town as well as the county. On a pre-war house, that review is where a buyer learns what may be altered and what may not.
