The oldest house in its plat, and the dearest foot in it
Aladar On Lake Butler runs from 1947 to 2010. This is not the oldest of those — 938 at 1947 holds that — but at $671.60 a foot it is the dearest rate in the plat, 91st of 1,042 in the roll, on the smallest parcel in it after 915.
Two thousand eight hundred and nineteen square feet, built just after the war, valued at $1,893,230. The house three doors up at 801 carries nearly twice the floor area and $657 a foot. On this plat the per-foot figures cluster, but the assessments do not.
Reading the Wauseon Bay frontage
Wauseon Bay opens off Lake Butler on the Town of Windermere side, so an address here is on the Butler Chain without sitting on the main basin. This parcel is screened as lakefront because its boundary reaches a mapped water polygon — a mapping result, not a shoreline survey.
Bay frontage, canal frontage and lake frontage are three different things to a buyer, and a GIS screen does not settle which one a deck faces. The recorded plat and the deed describe the lot; the permitting authority describes what may be built on the water.
What this page is not
- It is not a listing. Nothing here says the property is for sale.
- It is not an appraisal. Just value is the county's figure for its own tax year.
- It is not a redevelopment opinion. Nothing here says what could be built.
Windermere adds municipal review
Inside the Town of Windermere, exterior work and tree removal run through the town as well as the county. On a post-war house, the permit history is worth pulling before anything else is discussed.
